— Clients will develop proficiency in using Apple’s Logic Pro, a professional digital audio workstation (DAW). This includes familiarity with its interface and features for music sequencing, and editing and mixing. We will cover software instrument usage, plugin integration, automation, and workflow optimization within the Logic Pro environment. Advanced knowledge also involves understanding signal flow and  project organization.

— Clients will learn to enter music in Logic Pro  to create sequences for choir. We will review arranging MIDI events into full compositions. We will teach skills such as quantization, note placement, tempo and time signature control, and automation.

— We will cover deliberate planning and structuring of rehearsal activities with musical sequences in a way that addresses several learning or performance goals at the same time. This involves using the sequences we create—such as layering parts, varying tempos, or introducing sections progressively—to target objectives like improving technical accuracy, enhancing ensemble timing, developing musical expression, and reinforcing memory retention. Effective strategies ensure that each rehearsal segment contributes to multiple outcomes, maximizing efficiency and fostering comprehensive skill development within limited practice time.

— We will outline how to utilize our sequences within a live concert setting to enhance the student comfort during performance, and audience experience. This includes concepts for the microphones and monitoring equipment, considerations such as tempo, tessitura, dynamics, technical demands, and performer endurance, ensuring a compelling concert experience from start to finish.

— Each participant receives a comprehensive, organized guide during the workshop, detailing all the vocabulary, concepts, and techniques covered throughout the workshop. This handbook serves as both a learning aid and a reference, including step-by-step instructions, examples, diagrams, and explanations of techniques and strategies discussed. It is designed to reinforce learning, and ensures participants have a resource to support their work after the workshop,

— Each participant will leave with a sequence they have created from their chosen sheet music using the techniques and strategies outlined in the day’s workshop handbook. 

— Participants will have direct access, such as phone calls, email, and text messaging for three weeks after the workshop for technical support related to subjects covered in our workshop ensuring participants have access to expert help for clarifying concepts, resolving issues, or receiving additional resources as needed.
